
Singapore’s KS Energy has secured a contract for a jack-up drilling rig in Indonesia.
According to a Singapore Stock Exchange filing on Friday, the company, has via subsidiary KS Drilling, won a deal for the “KS Java Star” jack-up drilling rig.
The work in Indonesia is expected to start in December 2015. The company did not say who the client was but said that the value of the new contract was around $2.8 million.
Java Star is a jack-up drilling rig of a Friede & Goldman L-780 design. It was built by Keppel FELS Singapore in 1981 and upgraded in 2009.
