COSL’s Jack-up Drilling Rig Stays in Indonesia with Saka

China’s COSL Drilling has obtained a contract extension for one of its jack-up drilling rigs.

The driller said that the Hai Yang Shi You 937 jack-up rig will continue working for Indonesian oil company Saka.

COSL said that the Indonesian state-owned offshore oil exploration and development company has extended the rig’s contract for a further 180-day period.

The financial details of the extension were not disclosed. According to Marine Traffic, the drilling rig is currently moored north of East Java, Indonesia.
